WHITE BALANCE
WHITE BALANCE
White Balance is a setting in our digital camera that help us to adjust and control colours to match the colour of the light source so the colour in the photos that we took have the same colour with our subjects. It is important to choose white balance depending on our light resources because if we use the wrong white balance, the colours can be different from the original one.
WHITE BALANCE
- CLOUDY
SETTING :
APERTURE : F5.6
SHUTTER SPEED : 1/50
ISO : 200
DETAILS :
I took this photo outdoor and used a fake tiny plant as my subject. I took this around 3:53PM when it was cloudy. As you can see the colour can be different with different white balance.
WHITE BALANCE :
-DIRECT SUNLIGHT
SETTING :
APERTURE : F5.6
SHUTTER SPEED : 1/800
ISO : 100
DETAILS :
This one is also outdoor and i took this around 5:44PM where the sun at that time is flashing directly into my house. Direct sunlight is one of the most neutral white balance setting so it is recommended to shoot while the sun is bright and use a direct sunlight white balance because it can give you a clearer look and more accurate colour of the subject.
WHITE BALANCE :

APERTURE : F5.6
SHUTTER SPEED : 1/10
ISO : 400

I took this one indoor using my fluorescent light and a toy as my subject. I took this at 6:34PM but it doesn't affect anything since i was shooting indoor. Using fluorescent white balance gave me a more brighter and warmer colour.
